Happy New Year, everyone! Best wishes from our family to you.

I am so excited about the coming year and we are beginning the countdown to the day when we meet the newest member of our family face to face. Last night, Bryan and I finally settled on her first name. Elisabeth.

Bryan and I have both loved the name for a long time, but he wasn't ready to put it in stone yet. Now that she has a name, that's all I can think about! We're going to call her Elly, which I think is just adorable. The middle name will be our next hurdle, and we're way open to suggestions, so feel free to comment and tell us what you think.

Abby can already say that her baby sister's name is Elly . She's been such a cutie lately, and we know she'll be a great big sister. She loves to take care of her smaller friends and love on them.

It's slowly sinking in that in about 95 days, we'll be a family of four. Am I ready to divide my energy and attention and responsibilities even further? I don't know, but I'll find out soon enough! There is so much to do to get ready for Elly - things around the house, and a few baby items that we'll need...my mind is constantly thinking about getting our family and our home ready for her.

So here's to 2009 and seeing our girls continue to grow into the individuals God made them to be!
